Horno del Barrio

Small-batch, from-scratch bakery

Bread that takes its time, cakes made just for you

Every loaf starts with a slow-fermented starter, every cake is built by hand for the person it's for. Stop by for your morning croissant, or tell us about the celebration you're planning.

Our proposal

Real bread, made the slow way

We keep it simple: flour, water, salt, and a wild yeast starter we feed every day. No shortcuts, no additives — just the long fermentation that gives our sourdough its open crumb and deep flavor.

Alongside the bread, we bake laminated pastries each morning and take on celebration cakes one at a time, so every order gets our full attention — from the first sketch to the last swirl of frosting.

  • Naturally leavened, long-fermented dough
  • Small daily batches — nothing sits around
  • Cakes designed one-on-one with each customer

Our process

Nothing here is rushed

The same three steps behind every loaf and every cake we send out the door.

1

Feed the starter

Our starter gets fed twice a day, every day — it's the living heart of every loaf.

2

Let it rise, slowly

A long, cold fermentation over many hours builds the flavor that a fast dough never gets.

3

Bake and hand-finish

Loaves are scored and baked to order; cakes are frosted and decorated one at a time, by hand.

``` [resumen]I built you a full bakery site for Horno del Barrio, with a split hero, a menu gallery, a process section, sample reviews clearly marked for you to swap out, and a working custom-cake request form that ends in a real confirmation screen showing back the customer's own details. I put the contact form directly in the closing section right after hours and location, since that's the natural next step once someone decides they want a cake. You'll want to fill in your real address, phone, and email (they're placeholders for now) and connect an email address to the form so requests actually reach you. Ask me for any change.[/resumen]
